Columbus State University is hosting PRINTING:GREEN, an American Print Alliance Print Dialogue Day that reflects current thought, practice, and research in “greening” our print studio and practices. Join us on Saturday, April 20, 2013 for print demonstrations, panel discussion, presentations, and the closing reception of the American Print Alliance and the Cannonball Press Exhibition. The event is free and students are encourage to participate as well as submit work to the student PUSH PIN SHOW. Artists and presenters include Melissa Harshman, Eileen Wallace, and Jon Swindler of the University of Georgia, Athens; Valerie Dibble of Kennesaw State University; Eric Benson and Steve Kostel of Fresh Press and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Andrew Kozlowski of Auburn University; Michael Marling de Cuellar of North Georgia College and State University; Judy Major-Giraardin and Briana Palmer of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; and Martin Mazorra and Mike Houston of Cannonball Press. Students from any USG institution or PDD participating institution may submit one hand-pulled print, in any media, for inclusion in the PUSH PIN exhibition. Due Date: 3/1/13.
