Art Throw Down Invitational

Art Throw Down2020 Art Throw Down Invitational Award Winners

The Columbus State Art Department is proud to host the third annual High School Art Throw Down Invitational!

Select your best and brightest art students to compete in the first annual Art Throw Down Invitational and be part of history as they compete in various categories ranging from two- and three-dimensional media to animation and graphic design. In each competition, students will be taught a specific skill by CSU faculty for a 30-minute period and then be given 2 hours to create a work of art by incorporating what they have learned.

COVID-19 Statement

Masks will be required of all visitors attending the Throwdown.

We do realize that we may be facing a very unpredictable semester this fall due to COVID-19; however, if the in-person event needs to be cancelled for unforeseen reasons, we will move to a online version of the throwdown similar to what we did in Fall of 2020. This will include sending out lessons and learning modules designed by CSU art professors to be completed on their own and then submitted back for the competition.
